About Me

Hello, Internet. I'm Quadsux, and if you've stumbled in here, you can find my youtube page here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/Quadsux

This is my first real blog, so I'm not completely used to it yet. I'm just using this when I feel like talking to someone who doesn't interrupt.

So, about me. I was born May 11, 1983. Born in Baltimore, and moved to Martinsburg West Virginia when I was about four years old. My Dad sells forklifts, and my Mom is a stay at home Mom. I have a sister, three years older than me. We have a pretty regular big sister/little brother relationship, I irritate her. Actually, I have her trained to get upset just by sitting next to her on the couch, bwa haha. I work at Fedex. It's....tolerable. I'm obsessive compulsive, which is why I don't talk alot in my videos. I tend to worry that I've upset people, sometimes I stammer, things like that. I really am a type b personality, but I'm okay with that.

I LOVE adventure games, but there are still other types of genres I'm into. I like FPS's, some platformers, and some RPG's.

So, about my channel. I'm really into adventure type games. You know, pick up items, combine items, solve puzzles. If you're looking for a walkthrough for an adventure game, you might find it on my youtube page. While I'm into other genres, I don't usually make walkthroughs for them. The reason is because I prefer playing these types of games on the easy setting. I know that sounds wussy, and I don't care. I suppose I could beat games like Dead Space or Bioshock on there hardest settings, I just don't want to. I play games to escape, not really for the sake of challenge.

Let me just give a brief breakdown of what goes on in my channel:

Adventure Walkthroughs: My bread and butter. Many of my games have been made by http://www.telltalegames.com/, but I have quite a few adventure games from different developers some old, some new.

Something Completely Different: This started as a mistake. I had recently bought a new computer, and so I tried playing Portal on it, since Portal wouldn't work on my last PC. Before I started playing, I pressed record with FRAPS, to see what the frame rate would be like. After a while, I'd completely forgotten that I was recording. By the time I realised, I thought, what the hell, and just kept on recording. The response was ok, so I decided to keep doing it. Whenever I feel like a change of pace from adventure games, I'll make one of these.

The Hooray! Series: Not a big part of the channel mind you. These are just videos of me sharing my frustration over some of the problems I have recording. The videos are usually called "Hooray for Lag!" but I have put one video up for FRAPS, when the program wouldn't record some of my games.

VLOG: The rarest of rare. I don't usually spend too much time in front of the camera, but I'll do what I have to if there's something important I want to tell my subscribers. There's also a couple running gags in my vlogs. First off, I'm not really all that professional about them. Sometimes I have trouble turning the camcorder off, sometimes I can't get the camera to focus, things like that. If I do a vlog, you can pretty much count on something going wrong. I also like having different desktop wallpaper every time I post a Snagit vlog.

So, about this blog. Like I said, sometimes I just feel like talking. So I'll post a blog. I don't think I'm going to be very focused on it, don't expect to many of these at once. But if I want to give an opinion on a game, talk about something exciting in my day, or just feel like talking in general, I'll do it here.

Later!!
